Minister: Debt of Russian gas consumers rise to 217 bln rbl
MOSCOW, Jul 21 (PRIME) -- The combined debt of Russian consumers for gas stands at 217 billion rubles as of Thursday, Energy Minister Alexander Novak said at a government meeting.
“As of today, the total amount of debt is significant and it stands at 217 billion rubles,” he said.
In early June, gas giant Gazprom said that the combined consumer debt increased 24.4% in January–March to 189.3 billion rubles as of April 1. Households accounted for 34.7% of the debt, and heat suppliers for 34.7%, Gazprom said.
